Sembcorp Marine has successfully completed the fabrication of the Offshore Substation and Reactive Compensation Station for Ørsted Wind Power subsidiary Optimus Wind Limited. This completion of the substations expands Sembcorp Marine’s footprint in the renewable and clean energy sector and highlights the Group’s diversification endeavours.  

Despite protracted challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sembcorp Marine continues to play a vital role in contributing to Singapore’s position as a major hub for cruise ship repairs, upgrades and refurbishment with a record 22 cruise ships repaired and upgraded in 1H2021 at Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard and Sembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard. 

Sembcorp Marine and SP Group have signed a partnership agreement to install additional solar panels and a digital energy management system to enhance the sustainability credentials of Sembcorp Marine’s flagship Tuas Boulevard Yard.

Health & Safety
Sembcorp Marine Ltd took home 24 Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Awards this year, six more than at the last WSH Awards in 2020. The impressive wins in the face of 2021 pandemic challenges and disruptions is a laudable testament of Sembcorp Marine’s hallmark of high standards for standards of workplace safety and health of employees.
