The prize money for the Primary, Secondary and Junior Colleges/ITEs should be shared on a 60%-40% basis with the 60% going to the School fund and the 40% to the student/students who are in the project team. The prize money for the Tertiary Level will be shared by the student participants in the teams and the Tertiary Institutions on a 60%/40% basis with 60% going to the students. Although these are our guidelines for the payment, we will leave the final and actual distribution of the prize money to the discretion of the schools and institutions. All prize money will be made payable to the schools/institutions.

Our Alliance Partners, oil majors Shell International Eastern Trading Company and BP Shipping, have pledged their support and commitment to the Green Wave project.

Commencing 2004, Shell International Eastern Trading Company will jointly sponsor the Top Prize of S$10,000 for the Tertiary Level competition with Sembcorp Marine. Additionally, the top prize-winners for the Tertiary Level competition would also have the opportunity for a minimum one-month development attachment with Shell International Eastern Trading Company and Sembcorp Marine.

BP Shipping will also jointly sponsor the Top Prize of S$8,000 in the JC/ITE/CI Level of competition with our shipyard. Additionally, the top prize-winners for this level of competition would also have the opportunity for a minimum one-month development attachment with BP Shipping and Sembcorp Marine.

Winners of the top prizes at the JC/ITE/CI and Tertiary levels will also be offered attachments with Sembcorp MarineĀ in divisions such as Engineering, IT, Human Resources, Operations and Business.

The decisions of the judges are final and binding. Should all entries for a certain school category not meet the judging and assessment criteria, the Shipyard reserves the right not to make an award to that particular category or to make merit awards instead of the top three prizes.
